Happy Saturday my loves!!

Is everyone excited for the 3 day weekend?! I know Iam!

To kick off the Labor Day festivities, I've styled this easy going look for your weekend getaway. Whether you're going to a BBQ or hanging out with your friends, this casual outfit screams comfy everywhere!

Halter tops have been my go to staples this summer.  I love the fact that they're so stretchy and laid back!I paired this top with white, studded, high waisted shorts to give off a sweet, yet, tough girl feel.

Don't be fooled with the height of these heels because these babies are super light weight!! I've been obsessed with these platforms since the day I got them! I always try to incorporate them into my outfits because they' make every outfit pop with retro vibes.

It's been super hot lately and this weather has been making me crave ice cream!  Located in Burbank, California, Quenelle Ice Creamery,  makes their ice cream from scratch!  Cookie butter fudge and vanilla mascarpone are my two faves. They have a bunch of other out of this world flavors that I still have yet to try. So if you're looking for a little escape from this heat, definitely check em out!

Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend! :)

Stop! HAMMER TIME!

Photos by Vera Bersabal

(Harem Pants- American Apparel, Tank- Brandy Melville)

I'm writing this post on 4 hours of sleep and I'm surprised to say that I'm a tad on the hyper side, rather than feeling like a moody zombie. I started my first day as a lab specimen assistant, monday night, and it was definitely a lot to take in. To give you guys a little insider on my job, I work in a lab (i get to wear a lab coat!) and I process all the tests that doctors administer to their patients.  Pretty cool, ey?

I'm a fashion blogger by day and vampire by night since I work with blood samples! >:) HEHE

I felt like ditching the dressy outfits and going with a more comfier look. 'Sweatpants, hair tied, chillin' with no makeup on.'

These harem pants are the comfiest bottoms ever, followed by the oh so basic, sweats. haha! Since these babies are high waisted, I had to pair it with a crop top so it wouldn't take away from the shape & style of the pants. I wanted to give this look some height, so instead of going for classic, white chucks, I wore these trendy, white platforms instead.

The winners of my giveaway were: Mymy Nguyen (Too Faced 'Natural Eyes' eye shadow palette) & Grace Carillo (Zerouv sunnies) Thank you to all those who entered! <3

Time to catch some zzz's so I'll see you guys on my next post!

GIVEAWAY!!

( top- Nastygal, Skirt- F21, Platforms- Lovelywholesale)

Photos by Edward Kim

"A photoshoot at LACMA's modern lights is always a good idea."

'Tis always an adventure with my good friend, Edward. Our tedious day consisted of tea time in old town pasadena, a stroll through the old, abandoned la zoo, dinner at el suaz tacos (which explains my bloated tummy; haha), & this spontaneous shoot at LACMA.

Although summer is meant for bright prints and patterns, I always find myself going after black/neutral colors in my closet. This pretty much explains my gothic, vampy look I put together. I already stated back then that I would want to be reincarnated as a modern day witch. American Horror Story: Coven made it seem cool so why not?!

So as you may have already heard, I'm doing my first giveaway on the blog! It'll mean the world to me if a huge number of my lovely readers participate. I'll be choosing 2 winners to make things more exciting! :)

This contest is being held on my  Instagram @xoxolaraboo. Instructions are on my recent instagram post so head on over!

The first person I randomly select will win a TOOFACED 'natural eyes' eyeshadow palette!

(retail value: $36)

2nd winner will receive 2 of my favorite sunglass styles from ZEROUV.

(retail value: $20)

Winners will be announced & contacted on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at 8am PST.

May the odds be ever in your favor!

It's been a while since I've updated my blog with outfit posts, so here's a 2 in 1 for you lovelies!

Like I've said before in my previous post, I'm obsessed with the minimalist look. It's been such a life saver in this heat since I've been too lazy to wear pants. Anyone else feel the same?

For the first outfit, I topped this lovely, white scalloped shorts with a black racer back tank. I wanted to go for a dressy, yet simple outfit so I paired it with my fave lace up heels. Thank goodness for their zipper back detailing, if not, then I'd probably take forever to tie these babies up!

I've literally been wearing this kimono almost EVERYWHERE I go!! I love the fringe detailing and the cute floral print on it! It's so lightweight and goes with almost anything. Definitely a summer must have!

You can never complete an outfit without wearing eye-catching jewelry!

Always a big thank you to Jenny from Born Pretty Store for sending me cute jewelries to style my outfits with (:

I had to combine this beautiful, pearl bracelet with the classic, gold chained necklace, for I knew they would give off a more stronger, elegant feel altogether. The elasticity of the bracelet is so convenient since you can adjust it to your own wrist size. I don't have to worry about having it fall off all the time.

I'm a HUGE Game of Thrones fan so I totally had to get this dragon ring.  Ahhh!!!!(fan girl scream).  I can't wait for season 5 to come out already!! But in the meantime, I'll be channeling my inner Khaleesi, Mother of Dragons, & the rightful heir to the throne with this ring. HAHA.

Be sure to use my code BALT10 on bornprettystore.com to receive 10% off your entire purchase!

My page view counter just reached 10k! You know what that means.... I'll be holding my first giveaway soon so stay tuned!! Thank you for making this happen! I honestly have the best readers ever! Sending each and everyone of you a virtual hug and kiss <3

OC Fair

Fried oreos, Turkey legs, Jumbo Corn dogs & more!

Having arrived past 8:30 pm, the crew and I wanted to get our night started with a couple of carnival rides. Disregarding the "DO NOT STAND when ride is in motion" rule, I snapped an aerial view of the fair, standing,  while atop the Ferris wheel. Oh, the things I do for this blog, haha.

Everything that I deem unhealthy (in my book of foods), was being served everywhere! Although, everyone may think I'm crazy for not craving anything deep fried or gigantic in proportion, nothing quite seemed to ring my taste buds. But being the sweet tooth enthusiast I am, I couldn't say no to a cup full of banana split dip n dots ice cream!

Knowing by word of mouth that there was going to be a petting zoo, I had to take a little trip to see my favorite animal! I mean, how cute are these little piglets with their momma?!?! I was so close to taking one home with me :)

And to wrap up our mini adventure, we all took a ride on the ski lift to conclude our visit. The OC fair was definitely a blast since I spent mine with great company and new friends! Shout out to Rob for getting me home in one piece, hehe!

If you're planning on stuffing your face with a giant turkey leg and some fried pickles then I suggest you head on over to the Orange County Fair. I've linked their website here so go check em out!
