Maliboo

Photos by Kenji Kang

(Top- Tobi, Sandals- Payless)

So I'm currently writing this with a stuffy nose and a sore throat... You guessed it right! Your girl is sick ): I'm still recovering from last weekend's hoorah at Insomniac's Nocturnal Wonderland. I danced the night away in the dust as my baby daddy, Kaskade, played till the early morning. -insert heart eyes emoji here- lol

I've been wanting to share these photos with you guys since i got them last month but I never got the time to do so until today. My photographer for the day, Kenji ,decided on  doing a beach shoot since I've never really shot a fashion post there, ever. Being the adventurous person he is, we ventured off to Leo Carrillo State Park located in the beautiful beach city of Malibu!

Classic Black

(Romper- Revolve Clothing, Hat- Urban Outfitters, Necklace- F21)

I'm throwing it back to my black hair days and looking back at these pictures make me really miss my natural hair color! I'm thinking of going back to black with a grey ombre for this upcoming fall. It'll be a good transition from my summery blonde to a more suiting dark hair color. Don't you think so?

I was a little bit on the desperate side of getting these shots in that I had to settle for any location where I can just snap quick pics and dip. So do excuse the wet pavement!!

Styling this outfit reminded me a little bit of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. I think it's the pearl bracelet paired with the black romper that really takes on Audrey's outfit. I always feel like such a proper lady when wearing classic ensembles like the one shown here.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! see you on my next one :)

Struttin' on Melrose

Been super busy but I finally got to put on a new layout for the blog! how do you guys like it so far? I, myself, am very happy with the outcome. I outgrew the childish chevron background I had on before and wanted to head towards a much more minimal look.

So much has happened since I last blogged that my thoughts are scattered as I try to figure out what to write here. hmmm.. so I attended my first EDC with my lovely coworkers last june and I can definitely say that I had the time of my life. Dancing to edm music in the desert for 3 days straight was quite the experience. I burned so many calories that I lost about 7 pounds over that weekend! omg!

I know it's only July but the inner wanderlust in me is craving to book my next trip. I'm thinking of New York in the early spring. After all, New York is always a good idea.

Happy 4th of July to you all! Stay safe out there<3

Pin Stripe Blues

(Top- Hollister Co. Shorts- F21, Sunnies- ZeroUv)
So as today mark's the first day of june, I can't help but be excited to see what this summer has in store for me! There are so many activities that I want to do, but if I were to list them here, my list would go on and on. Anyone going for a mini vaycay somewhere exotic? Perhaps the Virgin Islands or Greece? If so, take me with you!
Whoever said pinstripes only looked good on men's suits was absolutely wrong. Clearly, they underestimated the power that women have in styling fashion pieces.
I didn't want to take the focus away from these signature shorts so I paired it with this white floral lace top. Mixing boyish pieces with feminine ones have definitely been my go to looks lately. The feeling of wearing those two different styles together make me feel like the ultimate girl boss.
New collab coming soon with FT! Stay tuned for my next post!!

21

“Your 20’s are your ‘selfish’ years. It’s a decade to immerse yourself in every single thing possible. Be selfish with your time, and all the aspects of you. Tinker with shit, travel, explore, love a lot, love a little, and never touch the ground.”― Kyoko Escamilla

Yes, this little lady is officially 21! Being of legal age means that I can now drink all the wine bottles I can without feeling guilty- not that I ever felt guilty before, haha.

I feel tremendously blessed to be able to celebrate another year of my life on this earth. Having been graced with good health, my loving family, kick ass friends, and awesome readers like you make me cherish my life more and more everyday.

Most of you may not know this, but Fashion Threadss turned one last month on the 28th. It's so crazy to think that my blog has reached a year old!! OMG! -insert shocked face emoji here-  My success wouldn't have been possible without the help of Sonja Delicana of Simple Stylings and the people who believed in me the most. I'd like to send a huge thank you to my dear readers for never doubting my work and for never leaving my side. Starting this blog made me realize that no dream is too big or too small to follow. If you have the determination to make it happen, no dream is impossible.

Sending each and everyone of you all my love<3. I can't wait to see what's next for us!

Think Pink

Photos by Melanie Rains

(Sweater, Skirt, & Necklace- F21, Heels- Shoedazzle

The best time to wear a fuzzy sweater... is all the time! If you were a 90s kid then you sure as heck remember that from spongebob squarepants (but his was a striped sweater)

Fuzzy sweaters have to be the most playful and youthful sweaters out on the market right now!!

When I wore this to the mall, I was approached by quite a few strangers who asked if they could "pet" my sweater. How silly and random, don't you agree?

As valentine's day is approaching so soon, I pieced together this outfit to give you a little inspo on your vday look!

You can NEVER go wrong with the pink and black color combo so that was where I wanted to go to achieve this classic ensemble.

The texture on this sweater already becomes the focus of this look so I went for a black trumpet skirt to give my bottoms some flare. I used a statement necklace to go over the sweater to avoid going too plain jane.

For hair and makeup I decided on a natural smokey eye with dark plum lips to match my heels. Sometimes being matchy matchy with your attire can work, BUT don't over do it or it will look tacky. I went for a side ponytail to give the necklace it's moment on the red carpet. I mean it sure wasn't camera shy in these pictures. HAHA.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I look forward to seeing you on the next one. Happy Valentine's Day cuties!

P.S. If i have a secret admirer or two, out there, ditch the roses and buy me a dozen sprinkles' red velvet cupcakes alright?
