Chic Chick

(Necklace- BornPrettyStore, Jacket- Zara, Bodysuit- Forever21, Skirt-Brandy Melville, Boots- Asos)

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm currently writing out my thoughts while jamming out to OneRepublic's new album, Oh My My. It just seems to mix well with the heavy overcast in LA this morning.

I've been wanting to get my hands on a choker for the fall season and lucky enough I was able to receive this gem from Born Pretty Store this month. For $1.99 it's such a steal!! Plus if you use my discount code BALT10 you get $$ off your purchase. I've linked the necklace below if you wanna check it out.

This Zara jacket has been hiding in my closet since august so I was ecstatic to be able to wear it out recently since the weather has been slowly cooling off. If you know me well enough I'm a huge fan of utility chic jackets. (this is like the 3rd pair i own haha) Anyone else agree with me that they just scream fall vibes?

I hope everyone has a fun and safe halloween! Save me some twix bars okay? :D

Gloomy Vibes

Pictures by Vera Bersabal

(Shirt dress- F21, Necklace- Born Pretty Store, Shoes- Vans)

It's been soon long since I've touched my macbook and actually blogged about anything. I feel like it's been a century or more. Many of you may be wondering why I haven't been updating Fashion Threadss. To tell you the truth, a lot has been going on in my life; good and bad. I went through a mild depression and that mostly affected me in such a negative away. My grandma had just passed away last week and I'm still coping with her loss. I don't usually like to share my personal life on here because I don't want to play the pity card. But hey, i'm only human too right?

On the flip side, I'm going home to the Philippines to get away from everything for a while. A mini getaway seems to be what I really need at the moment. It's been approximately 2 years since my last trip to the homeland so I'm pretty excited to see what's in store for me this time.

I was fortunate to team up again with Born Pretty Store. If you're just barely tuning in, BPS and I go way back in the past year when I used to incorporate their jewelry and accessories into my outfits. I've always loved how affordable their items are!! It may be hard to believe but they do have items for sale starting at $1. Crazy, right?! You can check out their website here.

Chokers have been brought back from the 90s and is now being incorporated into today's fashion world once again. History does have a tendency to repeat itself. Don't you agree?

In this outfit, I'm wearing their gothic black velvet heart shape necklace. This item retails for $3.09 and the pendant comes in an array of colors. I went for color #5. It does look more of a reddish color instead of the purple. It may be because of the lighting. I've linked the necklace below if you're interested in purchasing it.You can use my code BALT10 to get $$$ off their products.

I'm really digging the look on this necklace especially since it has that goth girl vibe but at the same time its has that cute feel to it. The only downside on this product is that I wish the choker was a little tighter. I feel like the length on the necklace is too long for my neck. But other than that, I still think this choker is quite a steal for the price it's listed for.

I have 2 more products from Born Pretty Store that I'm going to style for my upcoming posts. But that'll have to wait till I come back from my trip.

Until then, see you soon!

Classic Black

(Romper- Revolve Clothing, Hat- Urban Outfitters, Necklace- F21)

I'm throwing it back to my black hair days and looking back at these pictures make me really miss my natural hair color! I'm thinking of going back to black with a grey ombre for this upcoming fall. It'll be a good transition from my summery blonde to a more suiting dark hair color. Don't you think so?

I was a little bit on the desperate side of getting these shots in that I had to settle for any location where I can just snap quick pics and dip. So do excuse the wet pavement!!

Styling this outfit reminded me a little bit of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. I think it's the pearl bracelet paired with the black romper that really takes on Audrey's outfit. I always feel like such a proper lady when wearing classic ensembles like the one shown here.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! see you on my next one :)

Struttin' on Melrose

Photos by Edward Kim

(Romper- Revolve Clothing, Purse- Forever21)

Been super busy but I finally got to put on a new layout for the blog! how do you guys like it so far? I, myself, am very happy with the outcome. I outgrew the childish chevron background I had on before and wanted to head towards a much more minimal look.

So much has happened since I last blogged that my thoughts are scattered as I try to figure out what to write here. hmmm.. so I attended my first EDC with my lovely coworkers last june and I can definitely say that I had the time of my life. Dancing to edm music in the desert for 3 days straight was quite the experience. I burned so many calories that I lost about 7 pounds over that weekend! omg!

I know it's only July but the inner wanderlust in me is craving to book my next trip. I'm thinking of New York in the early spring. After all, New York is always a good idea.

Happy 4th of July to you all! Stay safe out there<3

Happy Holidays Everyone!

I hope you each had a beautiful Christmas spent with your family and loved ones this year!

Holidays like this one in particular make me feel so blessed to have such loving people in my life. Christmas to me isn't about how many gifts you get to open or how extravagant your party has to be. It's about spending quality time with the people you love and being thankful for all the good that has happened within this year.

As the new year is fast approaching, I've reflected on all that has taken place in 2014. I've turned most of my dreams, big and small, into reality; especially this one. It's crazy to say that I work a tedious full time job but still manage to blog from time to time. I've always wanted to live a life where I can inspire people with my passion and talents because that's how I believe every life should be lived. To inspire and be inspired.

I'm currently obsessed with the hollywood glamour style so gold and faux fur was obviously the way to go. I don't know why but there's something about wearing a faux fur coat that makes me feel like a millionaire. Anyone else get the same feeling like I do? Not to mention the fact that you can pass as a celebrity if you throw on some oversized shades HAHA.

To conclude my last post in 2014, here's a feature of my handsome and beautiful cousins wishing you a wonderful new year!

Happy New Year from my family to yours!  See you beauties in 2015!

SPRING ITEMS + EVERYDAY MAKEUP

Happy Sunday!

I come bearing great news. Last week I received my first sponsor from bornprettystore.com It's a jewelry and accessory site which has a bunch of cute stuff! They gave me a 10 % discount to share with you all; plus it's free shipping. The code is on my page so just click on the side banner and you'll be redirected to their site.

So as promised, here are my favorite items for spring + my everyday makeup. Check 'em out!

Forever21 & Essie Nail Polishes

I love the Spring color scheme because it's all about vibrant hues and soft pastels. Nails can make a bold statement with any outfit so here are 4 colors I absolutely adore. First off is F21's teal shade which I had to get because my nail polish collection lacks this specific color. I've been obsessing over neutral colors so this nude nail polish was #1 on my to buy list. Essie has been one of my favorite brands because they provide flawless coverage and outstanding durability with all their shades. 'Borrowed & Blue' gives you a precious light blue while 'Tart Deco' gives you an artistic burst of coral.

Brandy Melville Hair Tie Bows

I picked these up from the Brandy Melville Warehouse sale a few weeks back. They were free so i took huge chunks of each print. These hair ties can give any braided hair style or simple ponytail a flirty and sweet look.

Zerouv Sunglasses

I discovered this website from one of my favorite fashion bloggers last year. Zerouv offers a wide variety of sunnies styled for men and women who like to give their outfits a sharp finishing touch. They offer FREE SHIPPING and prices are as low as $9.99! I purchased these babies since I'm into round and oversized lenses. Buy a pair and I guarantee you won't regret it!

My Everyday Makeup

No matter what season it is, my makeup routine doesn't change. I like to go for the natural look so nothing too over the top.

I start off with my toofaced primed & poreless face primer. It goes on seamlessly and it keeps my makeup intact. I prefer BB cream over foundation because it's an all-in-one cosmetic that acts as a moisturizer, primer, and light foundation. The one I use is Dior's BB creme to cover up my blemishes and discolored spots, creating an even skin tone. This BB creme goes on super light so it doesn't feel like you have anything on your face!

Out of all the mascaras I tried out there, Clinique is the only one that delivers the right amount of volume and length I've always desired. Their high impact extreme volume mascara has never failed me.

Bobbi Brown's long-wear gel eyeliner in black ink is my go to eyeliner. I use their ultra fine eye liner brush with it so it goes on precisely and smoothly. It dries quickly and has a water-resistant finish.

The Toofaced chocolate soleil bronzer is my favorite beauty product I own. Not only does this bronzer smell like chocolate but it executes a matte finish which I prefer over other shimmery bronzers.

I can never leave the house without my rosebud salve. This must-have lip balm is not only used to moisturize my lips but also to relieve dry skin. This was my best friend when I was surviving the polar vortex in New York.

To finish it off, Make up Forever's lipstick in Rouge Artist Natural gives my lips the perfect pinkish brown tint. It keeps my lips moisturized and soft without drying them out. Definitely a keeper.

Flower Power

Photos by Vera Bersabal

 (Dress- Abercrombie, Necklace- Forever21

My sisters and I shot on sunday when the wind was a tad breezy. I swear, I felt like Pocahontas painting with all the colors of the wind; which totally explains the top photo.

I'm more of a dress/shorts/skirt type of girl. I don't fancy jeans as much because they take longer to put on than other bottoms. Anyone else agree on this?

Spring gives you the opportunity to wear bright patterns and bold colors without having to cover up. A flowy dress of your choice, some nice wedges, and wavy hair is all you need this season. I'll be putting up a post of my spring necessities soon so stay tuned!
