Quay Australia x Desi 'SAHARA'

Photos by Robert Garong

Happy Monday my loves!!

As majority of you may be recovering from Coachella, my current desk situation is feasting on 2 McChicken sandwiches with a side of medium fries. OM NOM NOM. I gave up McChickens for Lent so being able to munch on them now truly makes my heart warm :')

My fave MUA on youtube, the one and only Desi Perkins, launched her second set of sunnies with @QuayAustralia. Desi is one of my go-to MUAS when I browse youtube for makeup inspo. Go check out her "Black Smokey Eye Tutorial" (The blending is for the makeup gods!!) You can find her as 'Desi Perkins' on youtube or @desiperkins on IG. You're welcome.

If I had to choose between accessories or sunnies, I'd choose sunnies all day, everyday. Back when I was in hs, I'd be strutting down the hallways in AE's brown aviators. Those only lasted me a couple of years until the lenses got scratched up and they had to retire... RIP AE sunnies. </3

When I found out Desi x Quay launched these bad boys I HAD to get 2 of the 3 limited edition colors. I have both orange/black and olive green. I love wearing the orange to style up my outfit for a bold look, or I can go super casual wearing the olives for running errands.

The sad news is that they are completely sold out of both colors so yellow is the only one in stock. But do not fear, If you couldn't cop any of the colors, they're launching a black to clear fade in May so hold your horses!

I know everyone hates mondays but hey, at least there's only 4 more work days left then HELLOOOO WEEKEND! So chin up babe! <333

Lara

Coffee is the New Black

Photos by Robert Garong

(Bomber Jacket- Asos / Dress Shirt- VSPink / Sunnies- ZeroUv)

Happy Sunday my loves!

I'm no coffee lover but I had to cop this dress shirt cause it's the cutest thing ever. Dress shirts have been the trend since 2016 so I wanted to spruce my version up with a bomber jacket to get that tough girl look. Fashion has no gender boundaries which is what I love the most about it. I can wear an oversized mens flannel and make it look feminine with my fashionista touch!

This shoot day consisted of a trip to The Broad Museum in DTLA. The last sunday of January is know as free museum sunday. A select number of museums allow free admission the whole day to celebrate the event. Perfect for a family day or an artsy date. After finishing up at the broad, Robert and I hopped on over to the Disney Concert Hall to take these shots. It's not hard to miss this building because it's literally right next to the museum. The exterior silver architecture is such a true beauty. I do advise not to touch the building walls on a hot day cause you might get burned like I did.

I've been on an inspiration high lately so I'm really excited to write more posts and maybe  start a youtube channel in a few months.

Lara

Gloomy Vibes

Pictures by Vera Bersabal

(Shirt dress- F21, Necklace- Born Pretty Store, Shoes- Vans)

It's been soon long since I've touched my macbook and actually blogged about anything. I feel like it's been a century or more. Many of you may be wondering why I haven't been updating Fashion Threadss. To tell you the truth, a lot has been going on in my life; good and bad. I went through a mild depression and that mostly affected me in such a negative away. My grandma had just passed away last week and I'm still coping with her loss. I don't usually like to share my personal life on here because I don't want to play the pity card. But hey, i'm only human too right?

On the flip side, I'm going home to the Philippines to get away from everything for a while. A mini getaway seems to be what I really need at the moment. It's been approximately 2 years since my last trip to the homeland so I'm pretty excited to see what's in store for me this time.

I was fortunate to team up again with Born Pretty Store. If you're just barely tuning in, BPS and I go way back in the past year when I used to incorporate their jewelry and accessories into my outfits. I've always loved how affordable their items are!! It may be hard to believe but they do have items for sale starting at $1. Crazy, right?! You can check out their website here.

Chokers have been brought back from the 90s and is now being incorporated into today's fashion world once again. History does have a tendency to repeat itself. Don't you agree?

In this outfit, I'm wearing their gothic black velvet heart shape necklace. This item retails for $3.09 and the pendant comes in an array of colors. I went for color #5. It does look more of a reddish color instead of the purple. It may be because of the lighting. I've linked the necklace below if you're interested in purchasing it.You can use my code BALT10 to get $$$ off their products.

I'm really digging the look on this necklace especially since it has that goth girl vibe but at the same time its has that cute feel to it. The only downside on this product is that I wish the choker was a little tighter. I feel like the length on the necklace is too long for my neck. But other than that, I still think this choker is quite a steal for the price it's listed for.

I have 2 more products from Born Pretty Store that I'm going to style for my upcoming posts. But that'll have to wait till I come back from my trip.

Until then, see you soon!
