New year, new me

Photos by Robert Garong

Happy New Year!

Surprise, surprise... I went blonde! I've always planned to go lighter with my hair a couple years ago but I was unable to since my hair had been so heavily damaged from highlights. The wait was definitely worth it because my stylist, Rosie @ Ceci Studio took me from black to blonde in one sitting. It was a very long day but I love how she took her time and didn't rush the entire process. I definitely recommend her if you're ready for a new do!  Check out her Instagram @_rosiegold. Book Rosie here

2018 is the year I choose to be bold; fierce; and unapologetically myself. I've always played it safe and that led me to suppressing my inner self from revealing to the world who I genuinely am. Having been brought up from a very conservative family, my choice of clothing always had to reflect on modesty. I always felt embarrassed when I wore short skirts or had my tops too low because I would be labeled as "cheap" or "showy." I believe that an article of clothing shouldn't determine what type a person is just by the way he/she dresses. Fashion has always been one to break boundary norms and that's what I love about it. So many people find happiness and self expression through various styles. I know I do.

A penny for your thoughts; We will never truly live if we can't fully express who we are as human beings. Am I right or am I right?

Since Socal weather has been gloomy and blue lately, I've been loving my cozy cardigan from @Zaful. When Rob and I shot this look in Beverly Hills last week, the temps were low 60s but I stayed snug in this gray cardigan. I'm impressed with the materials they used to make this sweater because it is heavy! Not too heavy, but its weighted enough to make you warm and those are my favorite type of cardigans. This cardigan also comes in 3 colors and is priced at $22.66. I'm so in love with my gray one I'll probably buy the other 2 colors as well haha! You can purchase this sweater here

I am so blessed to be able to work with Zaful again this year! A BIG thank you to Cara and her team for their continued support with my blog. Love you guys <3

See you on my next post!

No pants are the best pants w/@rosegal

Happy December!

So Rob and I got back from our BOS/NYC trip last month and it was definitely one for the books. There's just something about going to another state/city that makes me feel excited and warm inside. Maybe it's the fact that I feel unstoppable and inspirations just fill up my head. Or maybe it's having that freedom to do whatever I want as I please. I hope as you read this, it motivates you to venture out of your comfort zone and explore what's out there. Adventure awaits in every corner. It's up to you to chase it.

Unfortunately, the day after we flew back to cali, I got sick with the flu so that's why I've been MIA. A small trip to the ER and a bag of iv really helped me get back into shape asap. Although I'm not looking forward to the hospital bill...

You're probably wondering where my Boston and NY pictures are. Well, I haven't gotten around to editing them yet cause I've been so backed up with other projects. But not to worry, I'll have it posted before the new year so stay tuned for those!

This t shirt is literally my motto. When I saw this on the Rosegal website I had to get it.  No pants are the best pants. Anyone else agree with that? I know what I'm wearing is a contradiction but if I didn't wear pants it would have been a public indecency LOL.

Life has been kind of a rollercoaster of emotions recently. It saddens me to say that I lost my friend, Sheryl Capistrano to lupus. She did my makeup back when I didn't know how to put eyeshadow and do my eyebrows haha. She's the reason that I now know how to do both. If we never met I probably would still be playing it safe with just eyeliner and mascara; lets be real. I thank God for having met you even if it was just for a short period of time. Thank you Sheryl for all the memories we made together. I hope you're as happy as can be in paradise. <333

Chic Chick

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm currently writing out my thoughts while jamming out to OneRepublic's new album, Oh My My. It just seems to mix well with the heavy overcast in LA this morning.

I've been wanting to get my hands on a choker for the fall season and lucky enough I was able to receive this gem from Born Pretty Store this month. For $1.99 it's such a steal!! Plus if you use my discount code BALT10 you get $$ off your purchase. I've linked the necklace below if you wanna check it out.

This Zara jacket has been hiding in my closet since august so I was ecstatic to be able to wear it out recently since the weather has been slowly cooling off. If you know me well enough I'm a huge fan of utility chic jackets. (this is like the 3rd pair i own haha) Anyone else agree with me that they just scream fall vibes?

I hope everyone has a fun and safe halloween! Save me some twix bars okay? :D
