I spent my weekend partying it up with my fave DJ, Kaskade at Los Alamitos Beach in Long Beach,CA on Saturday. Rob and I made this a yearly event as of last year because we always have a great time enjoying each other's company in the sun. I had a blast tanning and dancing the day/night away to house music. Just peep my tan lines, haha!

I want to give a huge shoutout to Zaful for keeping me beach ready for this event. My whole entire outfit is from their website! I couldn't go wearing a basic swimsuit so I opted for this white/green palms triangle top and whale tale bottoms. This specific suit I'm wearing is now sold out but you can definitely find the perfect 2 piece/one piece here. 

I made sure I wore tons of sunscreen and a baseball hat to protect my face from the harsh sun. This baseball cap comes in a variety of colors but the one I'm wearing is in the shade gray. If you've noticed, I've dyed my hair rose gold. I got tired of the faded gray to blonde and I wanted more color and dimension. TBH, I was a little scared to go pink but I just said F*ck it,YOLO. I really like how it came out so I'm hoping to keep this color until October.

Summer can be such a drag sometimes, especially when the temps reach 100s.. Might as well look hot in the heat!! I chose this 2 piece because sporty looks have been the in thing lately. The detailed buttons come in handy especially if you want to show off some more skin (; Just be sure to wear sunblock so you don't get those nasty tan lines!

Who run the world girls!

As some of you may know, March marks the celebration of Women's history month. If you think about it, the world wouldn't be what it is today without women! It would just be a huge cockfest of guys ruling the world... That would've been a complete mess!

In February of 1980, President Jimmy Carter issued a presidential proclamation declaring the week of March 8, 1980, as National Women's History Week. The proclamation stated "Too often the women were unsung and sometimes their contributions went unnoticed. But the achievements, leadership, courage, strength and love of the women who built America was as vital as that of the men whose names we know so well." This marked the birth of Women's History Week which years later, eventually evolved to Women's History month. 

Women from different backgrounds and ethnicities have contributed in making our everyday life easier. From being our birthers, to becoming the role models we admire, and being the successful women we strive to be one day, I am thankful for being a part of a world where women are appreciated.

February is a very special month to me. 

It marks the month FASHION THREADSS and I grow a year older.  I'm 24 today and it's amazing to say that I get to celebrate my blog's birthday as well. When I started this blog back in 2014, my main goal was to create genuine content that felt relatable to each individual reader. I hope that writing on a personal level has given you a better understanding that I'm not just a blogger who talks about clothes and whatnot; but I am also a human being. 

As for my birthday plans, I'm going to be celebrating with my older sister who also shares the same birthday as me! Isn't that crazy? If you're reading this sis, happy birthday to you! Sending you lots of love on your day of birth and I can't wait to pig out with you at Gourmet 88 tonight.

Happy Sunday my loves!

I hope everyone had a wonderful valentine's day this 2018. Rob gave me this huge bouquet of 2 dozen fuchsia colored roses! I'm a peony type of gal but since they're not in season at the moment, roses come in as my second fave. I personally believe that everyone deserves a valentine so I made my mom a bouquet of hydrangeas with white flowers. I took floral class back in hs so I think that helped with my choice of selecting the color scheme for her bouquet haha! 

Socal weather has been super bipolar lately... sunny with high winds! Do you ever have those days where you're not too sure what to wear? Well, I've been having a lot of those days actually so I've been reaching for my cozy sweaters from @Zaful. This coffee colored sweater is the perfect fit of oversized and chunky. And in a blink of an eye...January flew by just like that! It's crazy to say that we're 2 months into 2018!

I partnered up with @zaful to bring you my spin on the perfect Valentine's Day OOTD. With the main color of the holiday being red, I opted for the color pink because you just know, pink is my weakness!! I chose this pink draped coat from their website as the star item of my entire outfit. I was surprised with the quality and fit of the coat because it is well weighted and the color is so pretty in person. I ordered mine in the size medium and it fit me like a glove. New year, new me

Happy New Year! 

Surprise, surprise... I went blonde! I've always planned to go lighter with my hair a couple years ago but I was unable to since my hair had been so heavily damaged from highlights. The wait was definitely worth it because my stylist, Rosie @ Ceci Studio took me from black to blonde in one sitting. It was a very long day but I love how she took her time and didn't rush the entire process. 2018 is the year I choose to be bold; fierce; and unapologetically myself. I've always played it safe and that led me to suppressing my inner self from revealing to the world who I genuinely am. Having been brought up from a very conservative family, my choice of clothing always had to reflect on modesty. I always felt embarrassed when I wore short skirts or had my tops too low because I would be labeled as "cheap" or "showy." I believe that an article of clothing shouldn't determine what type a person is just by the way he/she dresses. Fashion has always been one to break boundary norms and that's what I love about it. So many people find happiness and self expression through various styles. I know I do. 

A penny for your thoughts; We will never truly live if we can't fully express who we are as human beings. Am I right or am I right?  

Since Socal weather has been gloomy and blue lately, I've been loving my cozy cardigan from @Zaful. When Rob and I shot this look in Beverly Hills last week, the temps were low 60s but I stayed snug in this gray cardigan. I'm impressed with the materials they used to make this sweater because it is heavy! Not too heavy, but its weighted enough to make you warm and those are my favorite type of cardigans.
